"I have what?" Is probably the first thoughts you have when you have been diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. A lot of confusion and questions follow. At first you may deny that anything is wrong, as I did. It took a while for me to finally accept that I was BipolarII. But it is a physical disorder
just like high blood pressure or diabetes. There is nothing you have done to cause yourself to have this disorder. And just like other physical problems you have to take medicines to control them.
It may seem a little overwhelming to you at this point but the good news is there is help for you. There is support. Family, friends, and your doctor only want the best for you along with everyone here at
A Silver Lining. Your questions can be answered and you will get better. Even when you think they won't, you can rely on others and just hang in there. There is light at the end of this tunnel. :-)
